The Early Years Foundation Stage is a framework produced by the Government to which all Ofsted registered childcare providers must adhere.

The aim of the Preschool is to provide a warm and friendly environment in which each child can develop at his or her own pace.  Children learn best through play and we are here to build on and develop your child’s skills by providing activities and opportunities that are designed to engage each unique child.

The four key principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage are:

A Unique Child- ‘Every child is a component learner from birth who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.'

Positive Relationships- ‘Children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with parents and/or a key person.'

Enabling Environment – ‘The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s development and learning.'

Learning and Development- ‘Children learn in different ways and at different rates and all areas of learning and development are equally important and inter-connected.'
